The Canadian Air Force formed in 1920 and after King George V granted it "royal sanction" it became the Royal Canadian Air Force as it is named today and has played a vital role in almost every significant conflict around the globe. The roundel here is the "classic style" leaf used after WW2 up to the late 1960's
